Security clearances, cybersecurity, 2020 census remain on GAO’s High-Risk List

The latest edition of the Government Accountability Office’s “High-Risk List” of federal programs highlights problems in the governmentwide program for granting security clearances, and it reiterates concerns about the 2020 census and the government’s role in the nation’s cybersecurity. The new report, which will be featured in a House hearing Wednesday afternoon, also includes familiar notes about IT modernization.
